Laban 325 Pen Collection
There’s something wonderful about a stylish and elegant pen. When you pull your pen out of your pen case (or wherever you might store it), that first glance should bring about a feeling of joy and excitement to hold, use, and enjoy it. As an avid pen user, that first moment of holding the pen in your hand, unscrewing the cap, and mentally preparing to put nib to paper (or refill to paper in the case of rollerballs and ballpoints), is like when you open a gift. Only in this case, you get to keep experiencing this feeling each time. Therefore, when I pull out my Laban 325 Wisteria fountain pen and 325 Ocean rollerball, it definitely evokes those feelings. In fact, the entire Laban 325 Pen Collection is wonderful.
First of all, the Laban 325 Pen Collection is packed with style and elegance. With so much shiny resin, and nine color choices, it really resonates. As the color schemes go, the barrel is more of a marbled finish, while the cap has more of an ivory white finish. Choose from: Lagoon (turquoise barrel), Snow (white barrel), Wisteria (purple barrel), Forest (green barrel), Ocean (blue barrel), Flame (red barrel), Sun (orange/yellow barrel), Cambridge Black (black cap, grip and back end with a white barrel), and Cambridge Burgundy (burgundy cap, grip and back end with burgundy and brown swirls).
Secondly, Laban’s attention to detail is exquisite with making sure these pens go above and beyond exceeding expectations. Everything from the tightness of the clip and the smooth threads to the perfect balance make these pens great additions to the collection. Overall, the Laban 325 Pen Collection has a medium to large “cigar” size and shape. They definitely have a substantial feel with some decent heft without making them too heavy for long term use.
Finally, while I wish there was a ballpoint available, the fountain pen and rollerball are great options. The fountain pen has a high-quality steel nib. It is smooth touching nib to paper, and is a great writer right out of the box. Choose from extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and 1.5 Stub nib sizes. It also uses an international size cartridge/converter filling system for convenient filling. The rollerball uses a Schmidt 888 or 5888 rollerball refill.
