Bought 2 VIP tickets from Bertram's Inkwell and had a wonderful time at the show. It was my first pen convention and I must say I was impressed! The hues in the ink are the same as the original (thankgully). The main difference here is that the sheen is more visible now, specifically when you're looking at the ink straight-on.

Nitrogen is a love it or hate it ink, but for those who love it, this is a natural choice!

I am enjoying my Aurora 88, black satin fountain pen, with a fine nib. The satin finish looks classy and feels good in the hand. The rose gold nib, band and clip make it stand out. It is not a clone of the common black and gold pens. The fine nib is wider than many fines, and that suits me just fine. There is a touch of feedback to the nib — less than Sailor nibs, but more than many others. The piston works well. I’m happy with my purchase.

I purchased an Esterbrook Estie Avalanche edition pen from Bertram Inkwell online. The site is well laid out and easy to use, they shipped quickly, and upon arrival I found a special edition ink bottle tucked in my box for free. The pen works well and writes so smoothly. I watched the You Tube reviews but till you hold one it’s not the same. Love the click when closing the pen. It has a large number 6 nib and writing is an experience with this pen in a good way. Depending on your preference the ink is slightly broad with a medium nib. No scratchiness and the ink flow is consistent. Wish there was a click when posting but it’s good enough as is and remains posted . Girthy but no overly heavy as I bought the Factory model and no slippage when writing. Very cool well crafted pen. Bertram’s Inkwell delivered quickly with a nice handwritten thank you note so support small business if you can. Thanks Mark G

The color of the ink is just right. It is not so light purple as to be distracting while not being so dark as to be almost black. It is just right for daily use. You might call it Everyday Purple because it’s just right.

It's big enough to be completely overwhelmed, but small enough that most vendors had time to talk and explain things to a newbie. That is what I appreciated the most.

Great pen very smooth even with extra fine nib. Feels great in the hand. I have several Maiora's, they are well made pens exhibiting great quality for the price. This one is no exception.

The F nib is fantastic; I also own the Blue Carbonesque in M nib. I had to wait awhile for this pen but it is well worth the wait.
