“Mnemosyne” is Maruman’s notebook brand that is closely related to “writing and thinking”.  Mnemosyne has the theme of “making work more creative.” This is a long-selling product with a 20-year history since its birth in 2004. In line with the times when the diversification of work styles and workers is accelerating, they are evolving into a brand for “all people who take their work seriously.” The Maruman Mnemosyne Journal A5 we are introducing this time is a new product from the Mnemosyne brand.

First of all, the Maruman Mnemosyne Journal A5 is the brand’s first journal notebook that allows you to smoothly record ideas and records. 

It’s a hardcover type, so it’s recommended for people who want to have a book for themselves. Write down your life log, illustrations, ideas, daily thoughts, etc.

Secondly, the content page is designed to be easily used as an index (table of contents).

Each time you add a page, you can easily summarize the page number and content to make it easier to refer back to. If you are involved in multiple projects, it may be a good idea to use colored pens, colored pencils, highlighters, etc. to color code each project.  It is also useful for listing the cost of each part, outsourcing costs for each business partner, and providing a breakdown of estimates.

In addition, businesses involve a lot of tasks. Therefore, you’ll probably end up writing new ones all the time. However, if you just write things down, it becomes difficult to distinguish between “tasks that have already been completed” and “tasks that are still ongoing.”  In such a case, you can create a check box (checklist) using 5mm dot grid rules. All you have to do is surround one 5mm square with a pen, etc. By creating a checkbox at the beginning of each task and checking completed tasks, you can easily distinguish between completed tasks and ongoing tasks.

Your journal comes with two bookmark strings in colors that match the color of the cover.  It also comes with a paper pocket for storage.  It comes in a pack of 120 sheets with plenty of space to write on. And it comes with an elastic band so it won’t fall apart when you carry it around.

The ruled lines are dot grid rules that encourage flexible thinking.  The dots act as guides, making text and figures easy to read.  Use the new ruled lines that can divide the page into three or four sections. This allows you to freely change the layout for each page.  It also contains four content pages where you can write pages and content. The page number is printed on each page, so you can easily search by linking it to the content page.  The borders are a thin light gray that does not interfere with the written text or illustrations.

Mnemosyne uses extra-thick domestic original writing paper (90g/㎡) that is compatible with all writing instruments.  It is particularly compatible with fountain pens. Since there is no fuzz on the paper, you can enjoy flowing writing without the pen tip getting caught or the ink bleeding. The thick paper gives it a cushiony feel and stimulates the feeling of writing. It’s a paper that doesn’t get in the way of your thinking and allows your ideas to grow.
