Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb Fountain Pen

Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb Fountain Pen

Esterbrook has made quite the resurgence over the last couple years! They were a brand that everyone associated with vintage pens. Now they are a brand that everyone associates with the model called “Estie”. The Estie is available in a wide range of colors. Each also comes with the option of gold trim or silver trim. Each color and finish also is available in fountain pen or rollerball. They even make a few colors in an oversize version. So you can see how there’s such a wide array of options. The newest color is the Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb Fountain Pen.

I really like how these pens bring a vintage look to a modern pen. The marbled resin reminds me of a vintage look. Yet the JoWo nib, and the cushion cap, and the use of a cartridge/converter filling system bring modern luxury.

The Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb Fountain Pen pays tribute to honey with a rich amber color. The patterning on the marble resin is like a cross between honey and Autumn leaves. I really like how vibrant the amber is on this.

As for the nib, you choose from four options of nib size. In the gold trim and the silver trim, extra fine, fine, medium, and broad are available. In the silver trim, a really sweet 1.1 stub nib is also available. I love having such a wide range of nibs to choose from. And they all actually write so smooth (yes, even the extra fine)!

The Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb fountain pen is available in the regular size as well as the oversize version. I like both sizes, but having an oversize fountain pen is very fun! Any time I can get close to a Montblanc 149 size pen without that price tag makes it even better!

Overall, I really like this fountain pen. I can’t wait to see what colors they come out with next. What do you think of this pen? Do you have yours yet? Check it out here.
