Baltimore Washington International Pen Show 2022

Baltimore Washington International Pen Show 2022

Excitement abounds as we prepare for the upcoming Baltimore Washington International Pen Show 2022! I can’t believe it’s just over one week away! From the show’s humble beginnings in 2011 at the beautiful Masonic Temple in downtown Baltimore at the Tremont Hotel to a few other hotels in between, we’re excited about being back at the BWI Marriott. Held again at the BWI Airport Marriott, this is a favorite hotel of mine for our BWIPS. The show starts Friday, March 11th and runs through Sunday, March 13th. It will be three full days of buying, selling, and trading the world’s greatest (new and old) fountain pens, ballpoints, and anything else that writes.

Extra special thanks to the DC Metro Pen Crew for volunteering to help at the show. We will have a house-full of modern and vintage dealers. To give you a better idea of what to expect: it’s going to be our biggest show yet with sold out tables. Vendors have even been on a waiting list for quite some time. We have vendors from across the United States, and distributors representing brands from around the world. Pen repair and nib grinding will be offered all weekend long. Not only that, we have several vendors coming from the world over. This year’s show will host multiple seminars ranging from pen history to calligraphy classes.

In addition, who can forget about the after show activities? Look forward to everything from group dinners to hanging out in the hotel bar area to show off your finds from the day. It’s always great to unwind after the day’s activities with playing with pens, paper, inks, etc. This is a great way to reconnect with your “pen friends” after such a long time.
