Caran d'Ache 2021 Wonder Forest Green Pencil Sharpener

As this year winds down, I’ve been thinking about all the wonderful wood pencils that came out this year. You can see my most recent pencil review of the Blackwing Volumes 651 Bruce Lee Limited Edition pencils here. Yet, another important aspect of wooden pencils that sometimes is overlooked is pencil sharpeners. Pencil sharpeners are such an important part of our usage that owning a high-quality one makes all the difference. Without a great pencil sharpener, you lose out on some of the enjoyment of using wood pencils. Therefore, when I saw the new Caran d’Ache 2021 Wonder Forest Green Pencil Sharpener, I knew I had to share it with you all.

First of all, I love sharpening my pencils. I look forward to wearing down the point on the graphite enough to justify taking a break from writing simply to sharpen the pencil. The Caran d’Ache 2021 Wonder Forest Green Pencil Sharpener is without question a fun sharpener to use. It’s more of a desk sharpener, so you can see in these pictures how large it is. Remember the pencil sharpeners stuck to the wall in school? That’s a similar size for reference.

Secondly, can you imagine cranking that machine to get the perfect point on your pencil? You can even choose how sharp you want to make the graphite by twisting the knob. Whether you’re right handed or left handed, it doesn’t matter – just turn the sharpener around. The Caran d’Ache Wonder Forest Green Pencil Sharpener has a dark “Forest Green” body with polished metal accents. As you might imagine, I’m a huge fan of the color.

Finally, there are two tabs that you squeeze to open the three metal holders inside. It’s also equipped with a huge tray to hold all the shavings. This means that you don’t have to empty it often.
