Colorverse Season 7 Ink Collection

One of the most important things to consider when using your fountain pens is what ink you fill it with. While there are many brands of ink to choose from, there are also many nuances to each brand. For example, are you looking for ink that’s more heavily pigmented? Are you interested in the newer trends with ink such as sheen or shimmer (my least favorite fad)? Well, as someone who is always on the lookout for new and different inks, I was delighted when Colorverse stepped into the pen-scene a few years back. This incredible, creative ink company based out of Korea has taken the industry by storm with unique ink colors with fun themes. Their newest is the Colorverse Season 7 Ink Collection.

The collection is also called “Eye On The Universe” because each set of ink is designated to remind us of a specific part of the universe. Yes, I did say “each set of ink” – because there are two bottles of ink in each box. There’s a larger 65mL bottle of ink alongside a smaller 15mL bottle. Therefore, in each set you get two distinct colors that compliment or contrast each other nicely. There are six sets in this Season 7 Eye on the Universe collection.

First up is the “Hubble & H S T” set. The Hubble ink is a reddish ink with slightly lighter tones as you can see in the swatch. The H S T ink has darker, subtle blueish-grey tones.

Secondly, the “SM 1 & Costar” set brings a spacy duo of colors. SM 1 is a rich blue with plenty of sheen. Costar is a nice mix of many shades of grey. I like how much personality is in this duo of ink.

Thirdly is the “eXtreme Deep Field & NGC 1850” set of inks. These colors are similar darker blues that remind me of deep space. The eXtreme Deep Field color has plenty of sheen, while the NGC 1850 has so much glitter in it to make the hues of blue shimmer.

Fourth in this lineup is the “Pillars of Creation & Mystic Mountain” set of inks. Pillars of Creation is a beautiful mashup of purple-ish tones with some lighter green/yellow sheen in there. Mystic Mountain is a shimmering ink, so the glitter lets you see light reflect perfectly off of the brighter blues.

Continuing with “Crab Nebula & Horsehead Nebula” inks, I have to start with how much I love those names. It’s just fun to say out loud. As for the colors, the Crab Nebula is a deep green with hints of purple. Horsehead Nebula is a glittery pink/purple combo.

Finally, “Hippocamp & Comet SL9” is a great duo of ink colors. Hippocamp is a lighter blue, which has plenty of depth and richness to the color. Comet SL9 is a darker beige with great range.
