Kaweco Sport Cyan Limited Edition Fountain Pen

Kaweco Sport Cyan Limited Edition Fountain Pen

In time for this weekend, I just picked up the new Kaweco Sport Cyan Limited Edition Fountain Pen. And unlike the printer cartridge of the same color, I know this pen won’t randomly claim to be out of ink! Kaweco’s last limited edition, the Dark Olive, was a huge success. I love these color choices Kaweco is coming out with. It would be great if they’d make the next limited edition an AL-Sport again, or maybe even a limited edition AC-Sport. I digress. The new Kaweco Sport Cyan Limited Edition Fountain Pen is beautiful. It’s slightly darker than turquoise. By now I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of this hot new pen on our Instagram (@BertramsInkwell) posts and on the front of our website.

First of all, this pocket-sized pen boasts a long history. I can safely say that the Kaweco Sport is older than all of us, having been created in 1911. With such longevity, I love how the Kaweco Sport remains just as integral and relevant to everyday use currently.

Secondly, as for the smaller size, it’s helpful to grab a fountain pen that you know will easily fit in your pocket, purse, pen case, shirt pocket, etc. without breaking. When closed, the Kaweco Sport is only 10.5cm. If you post the cap (which I never do – even on the Kaweco Sport), it becomes a normal size of 13cm. Since this pen is made of resin, you know it’s going to be on the lighter side (10.7g).

Importantly, the Cyan color is accented with silver colored accents. Therefore, if you usually get a clip to accompany your Kaweco Sport, I recommend the Deluxe Clip in Chrome to match. While we’re talking about accessories, don’t forget the converter. The Kaweco Slide Converter is the most efficient option they currently have available. When you pair it with the Bertram’s Inkwell Ink Syringe, you’re able to completely fill the converter with your favorite ink. Speaking of which, I found it challenging to decide which ink would best match my Cyan fountain pen. Yet the Monteverde Sweet Life Iced Cookie bottled ink seems to match perfectly.

Finally, the Kaweco Sport Cyan Limited Edition Fountain Pen is equipped with their high-quality steel nib. It’s available in your choice of: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and double broad. You can’t go wrong with any of these choices. The only thing I wish Kaweco did differently with this pen is engraving it in some way with an indication that this is the Cyan Limited Edition to make it extra special. At least the box is unique from the standard tin.
