Montegrappa Gladiator Limited Edition Fountain Pen
Share
For our final blog review of the year, I really wanted this pen to be extra special, extravagant, extraordinary, and massive! Let’s close out the year with the new Montegrappa Gladiator Limited Edition Fountain Pen. What makes this pen so awe-inspiring? Aside from it’s whopping $18,795 price tag (yes, you read that right), this pen is packed to the max with details!
First of all, the Montegrappa Gladiator Limited Edition Fountain Pen is the newest addition to Montegrappa’s Warriors Series. Imperial glory makes a triumphant return to the Warriors series as virtuoso handcraft breathes new life into Ancient Rome’s ultimate fighter. I don’t know about you, but when I think of Roman Gladiators, my mind immediately goes to the Russel Crowe movie. Although, he didn’t get to have nearly as much armor as this pen has.
In addition, following the award-winning Samurai (2018) and Viking (2019), this Gladiator fountain pen emerges as part writing instrument, part working miniature—a tribute to one of history’s most beloved combatants.
Above all, I was not expecting the cap to be his entire torso. Similarly, I was not expecting the lower half of his body to be the barrel. It creates a unique aesthetic and feeling to cap and uncap this pen. I’ll let you use your imagination as to what I’m referring. Showcase articulated arms, a hinged visor, and a paper knife fashioned like a Gladius sword. Get ready to be entertained.
Finally, crafted from precious metals, the Gladiator fountain pen revisits Rome’s grandest extravagance. Enjoy lavish artisanal detailing and mechanical cunning. As mentioned, this is a limited edition. Choose from solid Sterling Silver, or gold. There are 105 elite-grade fountain pens in silver and five in gold. Also, choose from: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and stub nib sizes. The nib is 18k gold, as you’d expect. It’s also equipped with a power-push filling system. Call/email for special pricing. Happy, healthy new year to you all!
