Monteverde Innova Formula M Pen Collection

Monteverde commemorated their Innova pen collection back in 2020 by re-introducing these pens in the same carbon fiber finish as the original. Now, Monteverde updates the Innova series with the new Monteverde Innova Formula M Pen Collection. This is an extraordinary writing instrument collection that combines unique materials and cutting edge designs that will entice not only pen aficionados, but anyone who dreams of life in the fast lane.

First of all, inspired by the racing industry, the Monteverde Innova Formula M Pen Collection evokes the power, speed and elegance of competition. All pens in the collection feature a 304 wire-braided stainless steel sleeve with PVD coating over a brass barrel. Wire braiding is often fitted on high-performance cars as it offers the best possible protection against mechanical damage.

Notably, the braided mesh is made by winding wire around a core on spools that are rapidly rotated in a circular pattern, weaving the wire together and molding it into a flexible and robust braid. 304 wire-braided mesh’s advantage lays in its incredible durability and resistance against UV rays, abrasion, and chemical corrosion, making it virtually indestructible.

Importantly, each writing instrument has matte PVD coating, providing key performance features while giving additional vibrancy, luster, and durability. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a process that uses diverse thin film deposition techniques that focus on vaporizing a solid material in a vacuum environment, resulting in deposition onto the surface as a pure material coating. Therefore, this material coating is appealing to the eye but also extremely durable. It can reduce friction and serve as a barrier against any potential damage caused by the external environment and usage of the product.

Moreover, PVD coating is highly resistant to tarnishing and corrosion. This makes it perfectly suitable for decorative finishes with colors that do not fade. Similarly, each pen features cap and a front sections made from sold brass and coated with matte PVD.

Interestingly, a unique and attractive carbon fiber ring offsets the gunmetal appointments and completes the racy design. The Innova Formula M collection offers three color options. Choose from: PVD black, PVD blue, and PVD bronze. These are available as either a fountain pen, rollerball pen or ballpoint pen.

Finally, the fountain pen is equipped with a premium stainless steel #6 JoWo nib. It’s engraved with the Monteverde USA logo and fills via standard cartridge or converter. The nib is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, 1.1mm Stub and Omniflex point sizes. The capped rollerball accepts standard Schmidt 888 or 5888 refills. The twist action ballpoint fills with standard Monteverde Parker style ballpoint or gel refills. Each Innova Formula M pen is in a luxury gift box with a custom-designed sleeve.
