Remember folks, today (Black Friday) tomorrow (Small Business Saturday), don’t forget to “shop small”! Support your local retailers – whether you’re coming in to say hi, check out the latest in pens, or find that unique purchase that you can only see in the store at Bertram’s Inkwell, we appreciate your support! Today, we’re featuring the Monteverde MP1 Fountain Pen. New from Monteverde, this piston filling fountain pen is incredible.
First of all, the Monteverde MP1 Fountain Pen is surprisingly easy to use. I was nervous at first about using a new locking piston mechanism. However, it couldn’t be easier (as you can see in this YouTube video).
Secondly, the MP1 is the first internal piston fountain pen ever produced by Monteverde USA. Released as part of Monteverde’s 25th anniversary celebration, the MP1 represents a significant leap forward for fountain pens in its class.
In addition, the pen’s design is both classic and contemporary. Its sleek silhouette, combined with its meticulously crafted details, makes it a pleasure to hold and write with. The MP1 is available in a variety of colors, from classic black to eye-catching metallic, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. Choose from: Black, Grey, Bright Blue, and Purple. Knowing Monteverde, I’m sure more colors will be released soon enough.
Above all, the MP1 features innovative Lock-It piston technology that tightly secures the piston knob between fillings. The MP1 is distinguished by its durable anodized aluminum cap and radiant crystal-clear barrel.
Finally, each pen is fitted with a German-made #6 JoWo nib. Notably, this delivers consistent, reliable ink flow regardless of your writing speed or style. This finely crafted nib provides precision and smooth writing. Offered in six sizes, choose from: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub, and Omniflex. Interestingly, the feed system is plasma-treated for consistent ink flow, preventing skips and blots. As to what plasma treated means, I’m intrigued to learn more.
