Monteverde Ritma Espresso Pen Collection

We are proud to introduce the fourth Ritma Special Annual Collectible Edition: the Monteverde Ritma Espresso Pen Collection. This newest release has become an annual event with a new color once a year. I love my espresso and coffee, and having a themed set is perfect for journaling with a cup-o-joe in the morning. While you can get the collection as a set, you can also buy each piece individually. My only wish is that they had made a special espresso bottle of ink for the set.
First of all, the Monteverde Ritma Espresso Pen Collection is inspired by the minimalist movement of the 1960’s and 70’s, with it’s clean lines and straightforward designs. Machined to perfection using a mixture of steel and aluminum, the Ritma boasts a streamlined design from magnetic cap top to back post, perfect for those who prefer a well-balanced and heavyweight pen. This makes the Ritma sturdy and durable. It looks great and feels comfortable in the hand. It’s treated with a matte espresso brown finish, which compliments the polished gunmetal trim nicely.
Each aluminum barrel is anodized and treated with a matte finish, resulting in a muted pop of brown color that is soft to the touch and beautifully accentuated with polished gunmetal accents.
The clip is designed to match the straight lines of the body style with an extra flair, the center cut is in an elongated oval shape for ease of use.
An exciting feature of this minimalist pen is the magnetic cap and posting, so secure and perfectly designed to the pen it creates a seal. No need to twist off, gently pull and enjoy the striking pop-action sound of the seal opening, then post to the back to experience the secure magnetic seal there as well.
The standard size fountain pen uses an international size cartridge/converter system. Normally when I review a fountain pen, I like to recommend an ink to pair it with. However, Monteverde made this an easy choice by including a 30mL bottle of Monteverde Brown Sugar ink in the set. The fountain pen comes with a high-quality JoWo nib. Choose whether it’s the extra fine, fine, medium, broad, stub, and Omniflex.
The rollerball is also fitted with the strong magnetic cap for easy use. I like how it refills with Schmidt 888 or 5888 rollerball refills. Last but not least, the ballpoint uses a smooth twist-action retraction. However, unlike most ballpoint mechanisms, this one is equipped around the grip section at the bottom of the pen. As with the other Ritma ballpoints, this also uses Monteverde Parker Style ballpoint or gel refills.
