Monteverde Rodeo Drive Pen Collection

Rodeo Drive is perhaps one of the most famous streets in the world. It’s a two mile long street in Beverly Hills, CA with its southern segment in the city of Los Angeles, CA. Beverly Hills, CA is known globally as one of the most fashionable places to shop. And Rodeo Drive sits right in the heart of it all. Visited by many celebrities, Rodeo Drive is also popularized by the classic hit movie “Pretty Woman” where the Beverly Wilshire Hotel served as a backdrop to exterior scenes from the movie. The Monteverde Rodeo Drive Pen Collection is everything its namesake speaks to being: fashionable, trendy, colorful, and exciting.
First of all, it’s very appropriate for Monteverde to make a collection of writing instruments as tribute to Rodeo Drive since it’s in their backyard. Monteverde is based in Canoga Park, CA (merely 20+ miles away from Rodeo Drive). The Monteverde Rodeo Drive Pen Collection is a contemporary beauty, full of glitz and glamour, and maybe a tiny bit of sparkle hidden in the shiny lacquer finish. But luckily, it doesn’t come close to being glittery.
Importantly, the entire pen is made of brass underneath the hand-made metallic lacquer. It’s fitted with nicely contrasted stainless steel appointments. The metallic lacquer color choices are exemplary of capturing the essence of Rodeo Drive. The four colors are: Orange, Blue, Iridescent White, and Iridescent Purple. Sadly they discontinued the Green, so the Orange is my new favorite. It’s more like a coppery-orange that has become so popular recently among pens. Not only that, but they also did a limited edition called Polaris.
Also, the fountain pen comes with the new and improved JoWo nibs in your choice of: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, stub, and Omniflex. And as usual with Monteverde pens, you can use your favorite color inks with the international size cartridge or converter filling system. Not to mention, the cap is threaded into the metal threads on the metal grip section, making it an even more secure closure.
Finally, the ballpoint uses a smooth twist-action retraction mechanism that allows quick activation. These are conically shaped, and nicely ergonomically balanced in the hand, making it comfortable to hold. The Rodeo Drive ballpoint uses the Monteverde Parker Style ballpoint or gel refills for ink customization.
