Monteverde Sweet Life Bottled Ink
Share
Monteverde introduced the ingenious 30mL bottled ink back in 2017 (see our blog on that here). Since then, Monteverde keeps creating many new color collections of brilliant inks! I absolutely love everything about these inks. From the color properties and saturation, to the variety of choices. Even the small bottle size is so easy for me to use! And with the Pineider Snorkel Filler, it’s super-easy to soak up every last drop! Now, I present to you their latest collection: the Monteverde Sweet Life bottled ink!
The names of each ink, and the packaging look so great! Just don’t try to drink them, lol! The packaging is made of paper, rather than their other fountain pen inks that come in a plastic container.
These are the names in the Monteverde Sweet Life bottled ink collection: Chocolate Pudding, Birthday Cake, Cherry Danish, Pumpkin Cake, Keylime Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, Iced Cookie, Mango Mousse, Blueberry Muffin, and Blue Velvet Cake. With names like that, I’m getting hungry!
Honestly, I was skeptical about a few of the colors. Namely the Mango Mousse, the Key Lime Pie, and the Strawberry Shortcake. These are the three lightest of the colors. I’m thinking to myself, how can these lighter colors be practical in everyday use? Yet after making swatches of each of the ten colors, I’m extremely impressed. I’m happy that I own each color myself!! Even the Mango Mousse (the lightest of them all) is still usable for everyday note taking!
Of the blues, my favorite color so far is the Blue Velvet Cake. It’s got some depth and great shading! I’m currently using it in my Stipula Etruria Rainbow fountain pen with the blue and rose gold finish. It’s got the T-flex nib which highlights characteristics of this ink quite nicely!
My next favorite is the Pumpkin Cake. Not only am I a huge fan of everything pumpkin, but this color is also amazing. It’s a really nice reddish-brown, that matches the name well.
Rounding off my favorites is the Iced Cookie. I really like how it’s a lighter blue, but with a unique finish to it. It’s not a bright blue (turquoise) like the Caribbean Blue. It’s also not a teal like their California Teal. Almost like adding some grey to a turquoise makes it have great personality and fun to write with.
