Nahvalur Eclipse Fountain Pen

The Nahvalur Eclipse Fountain Pen is the latest and greatest for writing on-the-go without a cap getting in the way. Bert and I first saw these marvelous fountain pens at the DC Pen Show as limited editions. They were only available at the pen show in black and gold trim with fine points. Only 18 numbered pieces were made, so naturally I had to get one (mine is #9/18 – so cool). I’ve enjoyed using it ever since – and I even drafted this review with mine.

First of all, the Nahvalur Eclipse Fountain Pen is Nahvalur’s first capless pen. Amazingly, it is the culmination of two years of design. Visualize precision machined out of aluminum. Notably, the Eclipse operates without a button. Therefore, instead, the entire body is pushed together to actuate the mechanism.

In addition, the Eclipse features a twelve sided faceted design and a removable clip. As such, it is striking, sleek and modern. While the nib sizes are limited to fine and medium steel nibs, the color choices are not limited. Choose from: Iridium, Electrum, Black with Gold Trim, Black With Silver Trim, Pure Gold, and Pure Silver. The color names are interesting as well, so be sure to check out their corresponding pictures on our site. Don’t hold us to this, but feel free to experiment with using the Pilot Vanishing Point nib sections in these for a gold nib experience.
