Stipula Etruria Wild Honey Fountain Pen
Share
Stipula pens are known for being substantial. When I say they’re substantial, I’m referring to not only their size and heft, but similarly substantial in terms of detail. Even though I love writing with pens of all sizes, the Stipula Etruria Wild Honey Fountain Pen is enjoyable as a thicker, longer, massive pen. Yet this pen is still so comfortable to hold because its weight is proportionate to the size. The Wild Honey is so beautiful, and is appropriately named as the deep resin swirls reflect an amber, honey color.
First of all, the Etruria model is named after a region of Italy that in ancient times was called “Etruria”. The Etruria pen draws inspiration for its design from Tuscan roots. Therefore, the Stipula Etruria Wild Honey Fountain Pen is made from high-grade Italian resin that I imagine resembles fine Italian marble. As you might imagine, the Wild Honey resin looks like freshly solidified honey straight from the source as a gorgeous darker amber color.
Secondly, the Etruria Magnifica model is crafted from the highest quality of Italian handmade resins, made exclusively for Stipula. Each piece is carefully examined for color and consistency. Once personally selected by Stipula’s experienced craftsmen, each piece of resin is turned and hand polished to ensure that every writing instrument is made to Stipula’s highest standard of quality.
Notably, the clip and band on the caps are engraved with designs influenced by local artisans in Florence, the hometown of Stipula. Above all, this fountain pen uses a cartridge/converter filling system.
Finally, I like how many wonderful ink possibilities would match this pen. I would recommend using Monteverde’s Sweet Life Mango Mousse for a yellow ink. As for the delivery of this ink, the Wild Honey Fountain Pen is equipped with a smooth steel nib. Choose from: fine, medium, 1.1 stub, and V-flex nib sizes.
