TWSBI Diamond 580ALR Sunset Yellow Fountain Pen

Very recently TWSBI released the ECO Heat with a beautiful darker orange finish. How can they top that? By combining a dark yellow/orange finish with aluminum. First of all, the TWSBI Diamond 580ALR Sunset Yellow Fountain Pen has an aluminum machined grip, connector, and piston rod. The 580ALR has a subtle matte finish, and circular engravings on the grip section and cap. The Sunset Yellow is easily visible on the grip section, cap rings, and piston mechanism.

Secondly, the idea behind the TWSBI Diamond 530, 540, and 580 was to go back to basics and capture the simplicity and elegance of traditional writing instruments. Notably, in recent years, the development and modernization of writing instruments has resulted in traditional writing instruments, such as fountain pens, falling into obscurity. It was TWSBI’s goal to bring the past back to life by creating a traditional fountain pen that even modern day society can appreciate.

Importantly, the TWSBI Diamond 580ALR is a classic fountain pen with a piston ink-filling system. Choose your nib size: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and stub 1.1. It’s a smooth-writing steel nib, no matter which point size you choose. I recommend filling it with Monteverde’s Fireopal Ink to match.
