TWSBI ECO Indigo Blue Fountain Pen
Share
Okay, so TWSBI has done it again with the new TWSBI ECO Indigo Blue Fountain Pen. What makes this extra gorgeous is the contrasting bronze trim. This is a beautiful deep blue on the cap and piston knob. We have the pens in stock, and per TWSBI’s instructions, all orders start to ship August 30th.
First of all, the TWSBI ECO Indigo Blue Fountain Pen has great value with its piston filling system and affordable price. Like many other TWSBI fountain pens, it features a crystal clear acrylic barrel so you can see your ink level, and a dark blue cap. The pen cap has an inner cap to ensure a perfect seal when stored away. It is completed with bronze plated trim and a steel nib.
Secondly, the ECO differs from the ECO-T in that it has a hexagonal grip section for ease of holding the pen, and hexagonal shaped cap and piston knob instead of triangular. The piston-filling mechanism of the ECO Indigo Blue Fountain Pen offers both convenience and efficiency. With a simple twist, the pen draws ink into its reservoir, eliminating the need for constant refills.
Importantly, what color ink would you fill it with? I think Monteverde’s Horizon Blue bottled ink would be a great match. As for the nib sizes, you have choices. Choose from: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and 1.1 Stub.
Finally, TWSBI’s belief is that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. These pens also come packaged with a wrench and silicone grease. Neither of these accessories are intended to be used immediately, as they are for long-term care and maintenance. Additionally, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile.
