DELTA — SIMBU L.E. – INDIGENOUS PEOPLE COLLECTION 2025
“DANCING SKELETONS”
A tribute to legacy, a vision for the future.

A new chapter unfolds in our iconic collection. In 2025, tradition and innovation unite in a heartfelt tribute to master designer Francesco Rienzi, whose visionary work has shaped this legendary series since 2003.

For the first time, this latest fountain pen design bears my signature. With deep respect and dedication, I have embraced the legacy of a great artist who is no longer with us.

“I poured my heart and skill into this project to honor those who made this collection an icon—and to carry it forward into the future.”

Every detail of this fountain pen tells a story of passion, craftsmanship, and continuity. It stands as a symbol of gratitude to the great master Francesco Rienzi, forming a bridge between generations of creators and collectors.

THE SIMBU: KEEPERS OF TRADITION
Hidden among the towering peaks of Papua New Guinea, the Simbu are a people of warriors, farmers, and guardians of an ancient tradition—one that binds the earthly world to the realm of spirits. Their name originates from the exclamation “Simbu!”—a cry of awe from early explorers who first encountered this proud tribe in the Highlands.

For centuries, the Simbu have lived in harmony with the mountains, cultivating the land with expertise and defending their villages through intricate tribal alliances. Sacred rituals mark every stage of their existence, from the harvest to the journey into the afterlife.

One of their most striking traditions is the “Dancing Skeletons”—a ritual where warriors paint their bodies to resemble skeletal spirits. This practice served not only to intimidate enemies but also as a powerful symbol of the connection between the living and their ancestors, a bridge between the visible and the unseen.

“The past never fades—it dances among the living, engraved in the bones of tradition.”
