Montblanc Airbus A380 Skeleton Limited Edition 380 Fountain Pen 38948, 2010

Celebrating the world's biggest airliner _ the Airbus 380, Montblanc has developed a Limited Edition - Skeleton A 380 in collaboration with Airbus.Inspired by the imposing aircraft, its extraordinary design features the distinctive two rows of windows and the A 380's typical shape. Now, the first A380 in Lufthansa's fleet is taking to the air on 6th June 2010 when it transports theGerman national soccer team to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The collaboration between Montblanc and Airbus, both companies are based in Hamburg, Germany - pays tribute to the greatest milestone in civil aviation and an incredible technical feat. Both brands have earned a reputation for being pioneers on their respective fields, constantly pushing boundaries of technical perfection, whether by aviation standards or writing instrument craftsmanship.

Limited to only 380 pieces, the Montblanc Limited Edition, Skeleton A 380 is crafted of 750 solid white gold with platinum-plated fittings. The transparent dark blue precious resin windows mirror the unmistakable double row of windows on the aircraft. The instrument is enhanced with 15 diamonds on the cap ring and a further 12 diamonds on the cone and cap top. The Montblanc emblem in 750 solid white gold at the top of the cap reflects the nose of the A380.

The largest passenger airliner in the world with a capacity of 555 passengers in 3classes, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse,France, and made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney.
