In 2000 the world exhibition took place in Hannover - Pelikan's hometown! The company took this opportunity to bring out a series of limited edition pens. The exhibition's motto was "Humankind, Nature, Technology" and three different Toledo sleves were developed - inspired by these three subjects.
Technology - 2000
Technology was the final pen in Pelikan's Hannover: Expo 2000 series. It's design featured the humble computer chip - an often overlooked, but nevertheless vital component in the technology that has revolutionised the way that we now live and work.
It was released the year of the World Exhibition in Hannover - 2000, and just 2000 pens were manufactured. This edition sold out quickly!

M800 Pelikan Expo 2000 Technology Special Edition Fountain Pen, 2000
Pelikan designed a special edition series of fountain pens for Expo 2000, as an exclusive partner. The limited edition began in 1998 with the 'human' themed fountain pen, joined in 1999 by the 'nature' themed pen and finally 'technology' in 2000. Each edition was issued in the same number of pieces as the year (1998, 1999 and 2000 pens respectively). Each pen has its unique edition number.
