I am enjoying my Aurora 88, black satin fountain pen, with a fine nib. The satin finish looks classy and feels good in the hand. The rose gold nib, band and clip make it stand out. It is not a clone of the common black and gold pens. The fine nib is wider than many fines, and that suits me just fine. There is a touch of feedback to the nib — less than Sailor nibs, but more than many others. The piston works well. I’m happy with my purchase.

I purchased an Esterbrook Estie Avalanche edition pen from Bertram Inkwell online. I watched the You Tube reviews but till you hold one it’s not the same. Love the click when closing the pen. It has a large number 6 nib and writing is an experience with this pen in a good way. Depending on your preference the ink is slightly broad with a medium nib. No scratchiness and the ink flow is consistent. Wish there was a click when posting but it’s good enough as is and remains posted . Girthy but no overly heavy as I bought the Factory model and no slippage when writing. Very cool well crafted pen. This pen is ideal for me. It feels good in my hand, has nice proportions, looks classy but understated, and has a really attractive silver colored nib. It has the same nib as the Aurora 88 and Optima. I have a few of these and each nib is distinctive and fun to write with. This Talentum is heavier compared to the Optima and 88, and has a cartridge converter where the others are piston fillers. I’ve been writing with it for 3 weeks now and it is one of my favorite pens that will always be inked. Compared to my Pelican 800, this pen is a “hair” thinner. When uncapped the pen is just a tiny bit longer (though when capped the 800 is a little longer). The Talentum is a bit heavier, but not too heavy. The grip on the Talentum is longer and more comfortable for me. The nib wrote perfectly out of the box — and that was not true with my Pelikan 800.

These erasers are impossible to find elsewhere! They fit my beloved Staedtler triangular pencil. It took ChatGPT to find you, to find them.
