Unfortunately, this is not true. Bertram's Inkwell is the only site where I have seen any mention of a lettering book, but as an FYI for others, the set only includes the pen, two nibs, and ink.

At any rate, it's a lovely pen and ink combo and the nibs write well.

If you collect the TWSBI Eco, as I do, where do you draw the line? They come up with so many interesting options it can be hard to discipline yourself. In the case of the Eco Carrara and Onyx version, go for it! You get the well-known reliable TWSBI writing experience in a very handsome form. The black trim and nib complement the pen's body perfectly.

I've used the Lamy 2000 FP (from Bertram's) for several years. I'm not updating my collection with the ballpoints. The Lamy 2000 Ballpoint writes smoothly. Of course, the service from Bert and his team is unparalleled.

The Viper is out and ready to work as a daily driver. It looks so unassuming and yet it writes like a dream. I started getting a fountain pen with the ball point because at times the paper I'm using just doesn't like my fountain pens. Having both Vipers ensure I have topnotch writers regardless of the paper quality

I have a use case for using ballpoints on paper that's not FP friendly. Been collecting a few and this Sheaffer 100 Expressions does not disappoint. It writes well and feels nice in the hand.

I am enjoying my Aurora 88, black satin fountain pen, with a fine nib. The satin finish looks classy and feels good in the hand. The rose gold nib, band and clip make it stand out. It is not a clone of the common black and gold pens. The fine nib is wider than many fines, and that suits me just fine. There is a touch of feedback to the nib — less than Sailor nibs, but more than many others. The piston works well. I’m happy with my purchase.
